Catherine Doran

Catherine Doran is the Principal of DIY Family Law.  She was admitted to legal practice in 1987 and has extensive experience in dealing with family disputes by negotiation and settlement methods as well as through the Family Court.  She is a member of “Collaborative Professionals (WA) www.collaborativeprofessionalswa.com.au as well as the “International Academy of Collaborative Professionals” www.collaborativepractice.com.

OfficeCatherine has been mediating disputes since 1997. She is an Accredited LEADR Mediator as well as an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner registered by the Commonwealth Attorney General’s office.

For 15 years Catherine was an Academic, teaching Law: initially at Edith Cowan University; and then for 10 years at Murdoch University Law School. 


Catherine’s focus remains not only on what the law is but also about the challenges that the law and the legal process present.
